Summary: Love the little thing, just wish the first one had lasted forever.
Comment: I have purchased one of these mice before, and after extensive use over the course of 2-3 years it developed a break inside the wire, right at the point it disappears in to the mouse. Tried to solder it back together but USB is pretty much impossible to fix once it breaks. I wish Targus would sell replacement cords for this thing, once you get the mouse open you see that it simply plugs in to the control board. Unfortunately the screws they used had to be drilled out in order to remove them, so long story short... buy another one. This one I have now I treat a lot more gently than the last one, since I hate having to buy things twice, and never thrice.

As for the mouse itself, I like the color changing; people are always amazed at that feature. It is small, yet big enough for my rather large hands to easily use for extended periods of time. Also, the cord eliminates batteries and the hassle of syncing the mouse with the computer all the time. The buttons all have that firm click sound and feel, and the wheel easily depresses and turns. For me, mice have to be exactly right or I hate them. This one fit me perfectly and offers features and portability and no need for expensive batteries.

Comment: I like this product very much. I bought the first one at a large Video/computer store. They no longer carried it so was delighted to find at this online store. I tried one before I located this one it was not as comfortable for my hand. This one is plus the lights are kind of a nice extra. Highly recommend it for lap-tops! I also like the retractable cord because I kept losing the cordless type.

Summary: After the coolness wears off, it's a big disappointment
Comment: The mouse wheel feels nice. The whole thing is a good size. I play with the retractable cable often and it is just fine after a year.

However, it makes the cursor move on its own. And scroll too. And the cursor jumps too. Not constantly, but just enough to drive someone insane.

It also can't handle small movements. It seems like it doesn't always register it. I am not using it for Counterstrike or any kind of image editing. Just day to day movements and it just gets stuck sometimes.

Summary: Nice until it died
Comment: I got this mouse about about a year ago to go with my laptop. I enjoyed the retractable cord and the fact that that it is small, which makes it easy to carry around. I also have small hands so it fits nicely. Plus it lit up, which was just fun.

When I was looking for a mouse this was just what I was looking for. It did not need to have a lot of fancy buttons, all it had to do was be a mouse. However it died yesterday. There was not much logic behind it, it just stopped functioning. I have tried to get it work again and have decided that is a fruitless task. I don't know what the average life span of a mouse is but I have had other mice for much longer periods of time.

Basically, if you are looking for a fairly decent, inexpensive mouse that may not last you a long time, than this would be a good mouse for you.
